General Principles
Mownii operates in full compliance with EU consumer rights legislation, including Directive (EU) 2011/83 on consumer rights, as transposed into Luxembourg law. Our cancellation framework is designed to ensure clarity, fairness, and transparency for all customers, regardless of country of purchase.
Order Cancellation Before Shipment
Customers may request a cancellation at any time before the order is processed or shipped.
- If the request is received before fulfillment begins, the order will be cancelled at no cost.
- Once processing has started, Mownii may be unable to stop the shipment; in such cases, the return policy will apply.
- Confirmation of cancellation will be sent to the customer’s registered email.
Right of Withdrawal (EU Customers)
In accordance with EU consumer protection laws, customers within the European Union have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days from the date the goods are received.
- The withdrawal must be communicated in writing (email or the designated cancellation form).
- Products must be unused, in original condition and packaging.
- The customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or incorrectly supplied.
Non-EU Customers
For customers outside the EU, Mownii extends a voluntary 7-day cancellation window after delivery.
- Items must remain unused and in original packaging.
- Return shipping costs will be borne by the customer unless the product is defective.
Items Not Eligible for Cancellation
In line with global e-commerce standards and EU exceptions, cancellations cannot be accepted for:
- Perishable goods or hygiene-sensitive items once unsealed.
- Digital products once downloaded or activated.
- Customized, personalized, or made-to-order products.
- Items purchased during clearance or final-sale campaigns, unless defective.
Defective or Incorrect Items
If the customer receives a defective, damaged, or incorrect product:
- Mownii will arrange replacement or full refund at no additional cost.
- Evidence (photos or video) may be requested to assess the issue.
- These cases are prioritised and processed in accordance with EU warranty obligations.
Refund Processing
Upon approval of cancellation or withdrawal:
- Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method.
- Original shipping fees may be non-refundable unless legally required or if Mownii is at fault.
- Currency conversions are processed based on the customer’s local currency rate at the time of transaction.
Return Logistics
- Returned items must be shipped to the designated Mownii returns address, provided upon cancellation approval.
- Customers must ensure proper packaging to prevent damage during return transit.
- Mownii reserves the right to decline refunds for items returned in poor, used, or incomplete condition.
Fraud Prevention and Abuse
Mownii reserves the right to decline cancellation or refund requests in cases of suspected fraud, repeated misuse of the return policy, or non-compliance with applicable laws.
Amendments to the Cancellation Policy
Mownii may update this policy to ensure continued alignment with global e-commerce standards, Luxembourg regulations, and EU directives. Any changes will be published on our website and take immediate effect unless otherwise stated.
